Drafting you video content

This video is the 3rd one from a series of videos where we explain how we work with our clients to produce and promote their videos for content marketing, in 7 steps.

In the previous video, we talked about the 2nd step: REFINING YOUR VIDEO CONTENT IDEAS, where you go over the preliminary ideas you got from Step 1 and refine them based on your experience and expertise.

In this video we are going to talk about the 3rd Step: DRAFTING YOUR CONTENT – Now that you have your topics, you have to start creating your content.  This is the part where most companies get stuck.  The easiest way to approach it is that you only need to write down 3-4 bullet points or sentences on each topic. And her by “you”, I mean the person who will be on camera - your brand ambassador.

The 3-4 bullet points is more than enough to get you going for when you’ll have to actually produce the content.  Or, if you’re comfortable writing and don’t want to be thinking while you’re in front of the camera, and you have access to a studio, you can try scripting your content entirely.

However, don’t try something in-between where you sort of script it, you read from it, and hope you can wing it.  Just go one way - talking to the camera off talking points - or completely the other way where you’re 100% scripted.  It’s super difficult to have an almost perfect script but you have to make small corrections on the fly.

In the next video we are going to talk about the 4th Step: CAPTURING YOUR CONTENT
