In the previous video we talked about the 5 steps you need to follow when you start with Video Content Marketing.
Now let’s dive a little deeper in each of these steps.
Step 1 - “Planning”: There are 2 approaches here. The easiest is to take client questions or objections you hear during calls with prospects, or simply search Google and Quora for some of your keywords to see what content topics and questions come up. Then, produce videos that answer these questions and solve your prospects’ challenges. These are often the best-performing videos of any business YouTube channel.
The 2nd approach is to be more strategic about it and come up with different series of videos you’d like to do: Perhaps you want to do tear-downs, or trend videos, or interviews, or screencast how-to videos. Then break down each of the series into individual videos for your content marketing.
We recommend starting with the 1st approach because you can quickly come up with 20 or 30 topic ideas from Google and Quora searches, or looking at your competitors’ blogs. Your goal early on should be to lower the barriers to produce video because you’re not in the habit yet.
